What to Expect at the Fall Showcase

Starting the week of September 8, the Airdrie Stars will host a High-Performance Fall Baseball Showcase designed for young athletes eager to learn, demonstrate their skills and experience a professional-style evaluation.

The Fall showcase will build a foundation of offseason skill development while incorporating regular skill check-ins.  Accompanied by skill work, hosted by Stars skills coaches, participants will take part in a series of evaluations designed to mirror the structure of professional and collegiate tryouts. The showcase will feature:

Week 1: Showcase Week:

• Agility Drills - Testing speed, footwork, and overall athleticism
• 60-Yard Dash - Measuring straight-line speed, a key scouting metric
• Defensive Evaluations - Assessing footwork, arm strength and accuracy from both the infield and outfield
• Pitching Bullpen - Showcasing pitching mechanics, velocity, and control
• Live Batting Practice - Evaluating hitting mechanics, bat-to-ball skills, and power

Week 2 - 3: Skill Development

• Core strength training - Building a complete athlete
• Infield and outfield work
• Fielding mechanics and approach
• Throwing mechanics
• Batting mechanics

Week 4: Skills Monday, Showcase Wednesday

• Evaluation of progress

Outstanding participants will be invited to join our winter baseball training programs, building toward our 2026 tryouts.
